(This is the beginning of a story, it is fiction)
In the end of the conversation, the decision was made. Neither of them was going to open their mouth. At least that was what they both thought.
In the beginning I thought this was all a joke, well, not a joke but definitely a dream, hmm now I’m not so sure what I thought this all was, but… You know what; let me start from the beginning.
Twenty six years old, and I must accept that I am a player. If I could blame what happen to something, it would for sure be that this all happen, because I am a player. I fool around with chick’s emotions and end up getting what I want. This happen not because of Karma, not that I don’t believe in Karma, believe me, I have my respects to Karma, but this happen because of specifically one chic who stole something. What was stole was my soul. Literally.
Four years ago my friend Travis and I were going to start living the new life. We promised each other (I know, I know sounds too sissy but you know what? Sometimes guys are sissies, not that I am one, anyway… getting unfocused here) the promise ended up like this: we weren’t going to be players anymore.
Chapter Two
When we were 22, Travis’s girlfriend almost died trying to “save” Travis from jumping off the roof. I still remember everything like it was yesterday.
“Look man, help me out here, Lorraine knows that I cheated on her and dude she is so freaking hot so you better help me plan this out to get her back.” That was the sentence I didn’t want to hear, even though I was a jerk with every chic I knew, I never took drastic decisions but Travis is my buddy since we were born, so I had no choice here.
“Fine, just because you’re my man Travis, but you owe me a big one.” I told Travis still unconvinced. “Ok, so all I have to tell Lorraine is that you are trying to kill yourself by jumping off the roof? That sounds easy. Perfect. Done.” Sarcasm is my best friend. “Hey I would do this for you. So Bakur here is the deal, I am going to sit on the ledge and of course I’m not going to jump, I just want to freak her out to make her think that I am doing this because she broke up with me.” Travis told me. (Please don’t make fun of my name Bakur doesn’t sound as bad as when you read it.)
Lorraine was an amazing person; she used to dedicate her time in volunteering in whatever she could. But what she like the most was volunteering at the organization for the deafblind. She had amazing curly hair, 5”5, and the most amazing body you can imagine, if it wasn’t that we were buddies I would have already have Lorraine in my hands, that’s how incredible she was.
When I called her on the phone and broke the news I heard, “Ooh my God, ma’am… ma’am are you ok?” It was a man’s voice. All I could think was, Ooh crap now I killed Lorraine too.” When she answered the phone again, I couldn’t believe it was her, her voice change completely. Her breathing was so heavy and fast I could hear it even if I separated the cell phone away from my hear three inches. That was when I started regretting this whole thing.
